Interestingly enough, one of the scams that the Attorney General warns Arizona residents about is the Arizona Attorney General Phone Scam. Resources say that during this scam, usually targeting senior citizens who reside in the state, a caller will say he is with the office of the Arizona Attorney General. He (or she) will go on to say that the victim is going to be awarded money from a lawsuit won against the state, because a scam artist who had been stealing money from seniors was successfully prosecuted. Supposedly, according to the caller, each senior was awarded a fraction of the resources generated by the suit, and each will be receiving $395. Next, the caller asks for a bank account number in order to deposit the sum by direct deposit.
