Internet Service Providers in the Wireless Age
Friday, February 17th, 2012Internet service providers, also known as ISPs, are companies that provide Internet access and other related services such as voice mail or virtual hosting to customers in their designated area. Companies such as Clearwire provide high speed wireless Internet access, which is the preferred type of access, with download speeds of up to 2 Mb and upload speeds of up to 256k. The first Internet service providers only offered dial up access, but today’s connections are often 25 times faster than dial-up.
