Peer code review or as it is often referred to as simply code review, is an in depth line by line walkthrough or review of a code module. Each segment of the code is inspected to highlight faults and look for areas of improvement which ensures business needs are met. The most common kind of code review is the ever common wal-through review. It can be over the shoulder review or a more formal process involving meetings, either way the walk-through review involves the author highlighting his changes and attempting to gain feedback from other members of the team.
